Here are three self-assessment checklists for planning, building, and
installing training.
To provide some background, I define best practices as the
optimum ways to perform a business process, or in this case, a training
process/task. They are the means by which leading organizations have achieved
top performance. They also serve as goals for other organizations striving for
excellence.
Of course, there isn’t a single correct method of accomplishing a training
task. Every organization, as well as individual business groups or units within
an organization, has its own objectives, set of challenges, and unique style. As
a result, training best practices should be viewed within the context of a
company’s overall direction, strategy, and vision.
